This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies GiganPay uses on its website, checkout and merchant dashboard, and how you can control them.
Contents
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as a login session) over a period of time. Similar technologies, such as local storage, are covered by this Policy as well.
2. Cookies we use
- Strictly necessary cookies — session cookies that keep you signed in to the merchant, admin, manager or affiliate dashboards (for example
giganpay_merchant), and CSRF tokens that protect forms against forgery. The platform cannot function without these. - Security cookies — used to throttle abusive login attempts and protect the checkout against fraud.
- Preference cookies — remember settings such as your time zone and interface choices.
Our public website does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Third parties
Some pages load resources from third parties (for example web fonts from Google Fonts and script libraries from CDNs). Those providers may receive your IP address as part of serving the file. Payment providers involved in processing a transaction may set their own cookies on their hosted pages; their policies apply there.
4. How long cookies last
Session cookies expire when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity (dashboard sessions time out automatically). Preference cookies persist for a limited period so your settings are remembered between visits.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings — blocking all cookies will, however, prevent signing in to the dashboards. Instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
6. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as our use of cookies evolves; the "Last updated" date shows the current version. Questions: [email protected].
